This photograph shows how the cinema foyer used to look back in the days of the Gemini Cinema. As you can see, the 'classic' film poster for 'Hard To Kill' is on display. This is surely good evidence that 1990 was a golden year for film! This view shows the entrance doors to screen 1 (which became screen 2 when Robins Cinemas took over) and the collage of black and white movie images which covered the wall as you entered the cinema. The box office and sweets counter were on the opposite side of the foyer compared to how the Robins Cinema was layed out. The front doors are just to the right of this photograph (you can just about see them reflected in the poster). |
