The writing shown in this photograph can be seen on the front of the cinema on the right hand side.

On this end of the building the writing clearly reads 'Church House' which possibly means that the building was partitioned into two distinct sections (the church house and the parish hall).

This writing, and the writing on the left end of the building seem to be original features of the buildings frontage. If this is correct, this would mean that the the whole place was originally built for the purpose of being a parish hall.
